The Friends of the Glenwood Springs Airport is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, founded in 2005, by local area pilots and flight enthusiasts. Its mission is to preserve the history and the future of the Glenwood Springs Airport, now known as KGWS Sumers Airpark.
Not only does Friends still support the airport, but each year they award up to two scholarships for up to $2000 each, to academically strong graduating seniors who plan to pursue careers in aviation.
They have paid for and hosted the Aviation Expos in the past. And they pay for the auto insurance and maintenance on the Airport Courtesy Car. What amazing amenities to our airport!
If you would like to support this valuable organization, please consider making a tax-deductible donation. Annual Membership Dues are $250, but any amount helps. Checks can be made out to Friends of the Glenwood Springs Airport and mailed to the address below. A receipt will be mailed to you.
